I just got to know that a guy who did internship with us died.
An accident.
Not the first one on the street.
But this time was fatal.
I met him couple of times on his bike in Dresden after he was done with the internship, with his funny smile and talks. I remember last time this Summer. He was very happy to see me and vice versa. We spoke about research. We promised to meet again.
I have a couple of pictures in my phone of one of those days when we went to have lunch in the park. Spring had just begun and the Sun, long missed, was there for us. So Micha would always propose to go eat something outside. Once he went to Konsum to grab some goodies and then we enjoyed the food sitting in the sand, on a blanket. We even sang "Con te partirò". He said I had a nice voice.
He looks happy in these pictures in the play ground and once again I cannot understand and neither accept when a young person dies.
Life seems so unbelievably fragile. My thought goes to the family and the close friends, to the pain that will never heal. And I feel very small in front of this.
Ciao Michael, it was very nice meeting u and having extraordinary lunch breaks in ur company. U were a crazy creature. I am learning again through u the hardest lesson: Carpe Diem.
