yesterday I made dinner together with my new housemates
it has been a little bit awkward when the german guy wanted to teach me how to make pasta
I had to use all my politeness for not saying anything and smile... those who know me though, know what that smile means... and they would have laughed if they were sitting at that table... because I could feel the expression on my face saying clearly "wtf dude, I am about to throw u out of the window right now"
and of course he would also lecture me about how our childhood determines who we are
please, someone stops him before I open my mouth and I hurt him for real
not that I was surprised though... he is 23, he knows everything about Life
he gained some appreciation though when he said that today he would go visit his grandmother, who lives not far away from here in a lovely little town... maybe one of those places where I have to go for my interviews in the middle of nowhere
anyhow, besides pasta, which was... tasting like german pasta tastes... we had also a fruit-shake and that was really nice
while cooking I played a little bit with spices and I happened to open the little package of oregano and for a brief moment I went back to the time I was a little kid, watching my father while making homemade pizza...
and I think I've never missed him more.
